What was the highlight of Hotel Santika Premiere Beach Resort Belitung
below expectations
location was very good. large property with good facilities like sand pit for kids and a large swimming pool. there is also a lovely pier on the waters where you can spend time soaking in the views. the breakfast buffet was also expansive and good variety.
when we arrived the hotel was almost empty and there were no guests since we arrived a day before the long weekend. but we were given rooms that did not have any view so we requested better rooms multiple times. however we were told all rooms are full. then they said they cannot open rooms on any other floor during low season. however by the third day of our stay it was apparent that people coming after us were given rooms on higher floors with better views. so the staff was blatantly lying to us. this soured our whole experience. we will definitely come back to Belitung but never stay in Hotel Santika again. the pool was also not clean and there was a dead lizard on the float.

very nice location and quiet
obvious signs of wear and tear on the outdoor furniture getting shabby, the missing glass tops, the many missing pillows and the restaurant chair pillows being not very clean.

What was the highlight of Hotel Santika Premiere Beach Resort Belitung
Excellent stay but there are some improvement needed
As expected from Santika hotel, the service was excellent. The room was spacious. I booked twin beds and they were bigger than standard twin beds in other hotels. They can easily accommodate 2 adults + 2 children. The bathroom and balcony were spacious. Staffs were all friendly and super helpful.
Unfortunately the meal was not good. Breakfast was limited and it tasted below standard. I have been a returning customer in Santika hotel for more than 30 years but unfortunately this was the first time I didn't have tasty meal there. Beside breakfast, we went diner once in-site and decided to look elsewhere for the following meal times. We changed room because our first room was very smelly. The housekeeping tried to get rid of the smell but to no succeed. The new room was a lot better but only after we used the bathroom we realized the sink was leaked heavily. We forget to tell the housekeeping but they should have known when cleaning the room everyday (we were there for 3 days) and were so lazy to move room again so we decided to wash our hands and brush our teeth in the shower instead of in the sink. I would be coming back despite the negative things I wrote above. It happens from time to time anywhere and I am sure Santika will improve to maintain its reputation.

Sea view is amazing, the pool is big and toward to the sea, the staff is kind and helpful and the room is clean with beautifull balcony
